Carburetors aren't dead, there are still plenty of them still out there in use and newer better ones coming out every year. Fuel Injection is popular for sure but carbs have their place. If you have a carbureted motor there are plenty of tips and tricks to working with it and keeping you running smooth. But each brand is different, Carter, Weber, Holly and the list goes on, look for a book specific to your carburetor it will be well worth the money.
